Investorhood Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms carefully. They govern the use of the Investorhood V1 mobile application. The company's website and separately contracted services may have additional terms.
1. The Provider
The service is provided by CG INVESTORHOOD ENTERPRISE S.R.L., with its registered office in Bucharest, Sector 3, Bd. Decebal no. 12, room 1, building S7, entrance 1, 5th floor, apt. 15, Romania, Tax ID (CUI) 49313396, Trade Registry No. J2023024451401.

2. Definitions
- The App / Investorhood V1 — the Investorhood mobile application distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play;
- Account — the personal account created with an email address and password;
- Investorhood Content — the interface, texts, video materials, data, trademark, and other resources offered within the app;
- Hoody AI — the conversational AI feature with an educational purpose;
- User — the person who creates an account and uses the app.
3. Acceptance of the Terms
By creating an account and using the app, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old. If the applicable legislation requires the consent of a legal representative for concluding the contract or for certain processing, that consent must be obtained.
If you do not accept the Terms, do not use the app.
4. Eligibility and Territory
V1 is intended for launch in Romania. Availability may be extended later, without this possibility constituting a promise regarding V1.
The user is responsible for using the app in accordance with the applicable law.
5. Description of the Service
V1 is free and includes:
- account creation, email confirmation, authentication, password reset and change;
- an educational questionnaire profiling interests and experience level;
- educational video materials played through YouTube;
- search;
- Favorites;
- watch history;
- an economic calendar;
- quotes and indicative market data;
- a watchlist;
- reminders tied to economic events, with a notification scheduled by the app before the event;
- Hoody AI;
- a Share function;
- Contact and support channels.
V1 does not include a portfolio, broker connectivity, trading, a community, posts, comments, Likes, Video Discussion, messaging between users, subscriptions, in-app purchases, Restore Purchases, social login, biometrics, SMS OTP, Analytics, or a CMS.
5.1. Content ordering and personalization
The app may order content based on editorial criteria, categories, recency, popularity, and the educational information selected by the user in the questionnaire.
The questionnaire serves to personalize the educational experience. It is not KYC, not a regulated suitability/appropriateness test, and does not generate personalized investment recommendations.
6. Educational and Informational Nature
Investorhood provides financial education and general information. V1:
- does not provide personalized investment advice;
- does not tell the user which instrument to buy, sell, or hold based on their personal situation;
- does not execute, receive, or transmit orders;
- does not manage portfolios;
- does not hold funds or financial instruments;
- does not offer copy-trading or auto-trading;
- does not guarantee profits.
CG INVESTORHOOD ENTERPRISE S.R.L. is not authorized by the Romanian Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) to provide investment services and activities through the V1 app.
7. Investment Risks
Investments involve risks, including the loss of capital. Leveraged instruments, CFDs, forex, derivatives, and crypto-assets can be highly volatile.
Past performance does not guarantee future results.
The user is solely responsible for their financial decisions.
8. Market Data and Calculations
Quotes, the calendar, and other data may come from third-party providers and may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable.
The data in the app is for informational purposes and must not be used as an official source for placing orders, accounting, taxation, or regulated reporting.
9. Account Creation and Security
At registration, the following are requested: last name, first name, email, phone number with international prefix, and password.
The user must provide accurate data, keep the password confidential, and protect the associated email address.
V1 does not allow directly editing the first name, last name, email, or phone number from the profile. The password can be changed from within the app.
There is no absolute technical block on creating multiple accounts with different email addresses; using multiple accounts for fraud, abuse, or circumventing measures is prohibited.
10. Integrations and Portfolio Data
Not applicable to V1. The app does not include a portfolio, trades, position imports, or broker connectivity.
11. Community Content
Not applicable to V1. Users cannot publish posts, comments, images, or messages visible to other users.
12. Obligations Regarding Financial Content Published by Users
Not applicable to V1, as users cannot publish content in the app.
13. Prohibited Use
It is prohibited to use the app for:
- fraud, phishing, malware, or unauthorized access;
- manipulating the service or circumventing security controls;
- scraping or unauthorized systematic extraction of content;
- using Hoody for illegal activities or to obtain instructions that violate the law;
- unauthorized distribution of Investorhood materials;
- impersonating Investorhood or authorized professionals.
14. Data and Content Provided by the User
The user retains the rights over the texts and information they provide, including Hoody messages and support communications.
Investorhood and its providers may process this data only to the extent necessary for providing, securing, and administering the service, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Hoody messages are transmitted to the active AI provider and may be kept in the account for service continuity.
15. Investorhood Intellectual Property
The app, trademark, logo, design, code, and Investorhood materials are protected.
You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to use the app.
You may not copy, republish, resell, or systematically exploit the materials without a legal right or written consent.
16. Courses and Live Sessions
Not applicable to the V1 app. V1 does not sell or deliver courses or live sessions through the App Store/Google Play.
Educational services purchased separately from the company are governed by the contractual documents applicable to that service, not by an in-app purchase.
17. Subscriptions and Payments
Not applicable to V1. The app is free and does not offer subscriptions, in-app purchases, trials, or Restore Purchases.
18. Consumer Rights
No provision limits the mandatory rights of consumers.
To the extent the free app constitutes a digital service within the meaning of the applicable legislation, users benefit from the mandatory remedies provided by law.
19. Third-Party Providers and Services
V1 uses or may communicate, within the limits of the requested function, with:
- Supabase for authentication/backend;
- the Google Gemini API for Hoody;
- YouTube API Services / Google for delivering and playing certain video materials;
- Expo/Apple/Google for the notification infrastructure;
- market data providers used by the backend.
Investorhood V1 uses YouTube API Services for delivering and playing certain video materials. By using the app features that integrate YouTube API Services, the user accepts the YouTube Terms of Service.
Third parties may have their own terms and policies.
20. Advertising, Sponsorships, and Affiliation
Investorhood V1 does not operate its own targeted advertising system and does not use cross-app tracking/IDFA.
The YouTube player may display ads or other elements controlled by YouTube/Google, under the rules of that service.
21. Availability and Technical Changes
The app requires an internet connection for features that load data from the backend or from third-party providers. Without internet, the app can be opened, but online content such as videos, quotes, the calendar, and Hoody may be unavailable.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. There may be maintenance, incidents, or provider unavailability.
22. Account Measures
Since V1 does not contain UGC, there is no moderation of posts/comments.
However, Investorhood may restrict or close an account in cases of fraud, abuse, security risk, breach of the Terms, or legal obligation, in compliance with the applicable rights.
23. Account Closure by the User
The user can delete the account from within the app, from the Settings area, through the confirmation flow that requires entering the text "ȘTERGERE" (Romanian for "DELETE").
The deletion covers the account and the associated server-side data that does not need to be retained by law.
If the user can no longer access the app, they can request deletion at privacy@investorhood.com.
24. Exclusions and Warranties
We do not guarantee:
- profits or investment results;
- the absolute accuracy or real-time updating of third-party data;
- uninterrupted availability;
- that Hoody will not generate errors.
No clause excludes the mandatory warranties provided by law.
25. Liability
Investorhood is not liable for market losses resulting from financial decisions made by the user based on their own assessments.
We do not exclude liability in cases where the law prohibits such an exclusion.
For consumers, mandatory rights and remedies prevail.
26. Indemnification for Professional Users
To the extent permitted by law, a user acting for professional purposes is liable for damages caused by the illegal use of the app or the infringement of third-party rights.
This section does not limit consumer rights.
27. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for non-performance caused by an external, unforeseeable, and unavoidable event, within the limits of the law.
28. Changes to the Terms
We may update the Terms for legal, technical, or product changes.
For material changes, users will be informed through an appropriate means where the law so requires.
29. Electronic Communications
The user may receive operational communications regarding the account, security, and the app.
Marketing communications via email, phone, SMS, or WhatsApp are separate from operational messages and are sent only on the basis of the applicable legal ground and, where necessary, consent.
30. Complaints and Amicable Resolution
Complaints can be sent to contact@investorhood.com.
Consumers may use the alternative dispute resolution channels available in Romania and may address the competent courts.
31. Governing Law and Courts
The Terms are governed by Romanian law.
If the mandatory legislation applicable to a consumer provides additional protections, these are not removed by the choice of Romanian law.
32. Final Provisions
If a provision is invalid, the remaining ones stay applicable. Failure to immediately exercise a right does not constitute a waiver.
