This FAQ exclusively describes the public features of the Investorhood V1 mobile application.
Account and Authentication
How do I create an account? Tap "Create account", fill in your last name, first name, email, phone number with the country prefix, and password, then confirm your email.
What is the minimum age? 16 years old, subject to the legal rules applicable to minors.
How do I log in? With email and password. Social login, SMS OTP, and biometrics are not available in V1.
I did not receive the confirmation email. Check Spam/Junk/Promotions and use the resend option if available.
I forgot my password. Use "Forgot password" and the link received by email.
Can I change my password? Yes, from within the app.
Can I change my name, email, or phone number? Not directly from V1. For an issue regarding your account data, contact support.
Can I use the same account on iPhone and Android? Yes. The account's server-side data, such as Favorites and Watch History, is associated with the account.
Can I create multiple accounts? There is no absolute technical block for different email addresses, but using multiple accounts for fraud or abuse is prohibited.
How do I delete my account? From Settings, start the account deletion and confirm by entering the text "ȘTERGERE" (Romanian for "DELETE"). If you no longer have access to the app, write to privacy@investorhood.com.
Home, Video, Search, and Favorites
What content can I find in V1? Educational video materials, categories, market information, an economic calendar, and Hoody AI.
How do I search for a material? Use the Explore/Search area.
Can I download videos for offline viewing? No. V1 does not offer offline downloads.
How do I save a video? Use the "Save/Favorites" option.
Can I remove a video from Favorites? Yes.
Is the video history kept? Yes. Watched materials are associated with the account and appear in the watch history.
Can I delete the history? Yes, using the feature available in the app.
Can I share a video? Yes. Share distributes a link through the system's sharing function.
Quotes, Watchlist, and Calendar
Does Investorhood execute trades? No.
Does V1 have a portfolio or broker connectivity? No.
What are the quotes? Indicative market data, which may be delayed or temporarily unavailable.
What is the watchlist? A personal list of monitored instruments. It is a monitoring feature, not a portfolio.
How does the Calendar reminder work? You open an economic event and enable the reminder. You do not manually choose a different time. In V1, the notification is scheduled approximately 10 minutes before the event.
Where is the reminder saved? Locally on the device.
Can I delete a reminder? Yes, individually.
Can I export the event to my phone's calendar? Not in V1.
Hoody AI
What is Hoody? An educational AI assistant, based on Google Gemini.
What can I send? Text only. V1 does not accept images or files in Hoody.
Does Hoody provide investment recommendations? No. The responses are general, educational, and may contain errors.
Are Hoody's responses guaranteed to be correct? No. Verify important information from official sources.
Are conversations saved? Yes, the messages/conversations are persisted server-side for the operation of the service.
Can I view and manage a conversation history? V1 does not offer a history management screen. You can start a "New Chat".
How do I send feedback about a Hoody response? V1 does not have a dedicated in-conversation report button. You can send feedback to contact@investorhood.com.
Privacy
What data is required for the account? Last name, first name, email, phone number, and password.
Do you collect portfolio, balances, or trades? Not in V1.
Do you use location, contacts, camera, gallery, or microphone? Not through the public V1 features.
What permission does V1 ask me for? The notification permission, if you want to receive reminders.
Do you use Analytics, Crash Reporting, or advertising tracking? Not in V1.
Where is the data? The Supabase backend used by V1 is hosted in West Europe (London), eu-west-2. Favorites, Watch History, and Hoody conversations are server-side; the watchlist and reminders are local.
How do I request a copy of my data? Write to privacy@investorhood.com.
How do I request data deletion? Delete the account from the app or, if you no longer have access, write to privacy@investorhood.com.
Marketing and Communications
Can I receive commercial emails or messages? Yes, only under the conditions of the law and, where necessary, based on consent.
Are push notifications used for marketing? Not in V1. The confirmed user-facing function is the Calendar reminder.
Security
How do I report a vulnerability? security@investorhood.com
Will Investorhood ask for my password or seed phrase? No.
Technical Issues
Does the app work without internet? It can be opened, but videos, quotes, the calendar, Hoody, and other online data may not be displayed without a connection.
I am not receiving the reminder. Check the notification permission, the device settings, and that the reminder is active.
A video does not start. Check your internet connection and try again. Playback is provided through YouTube.
The app crashes or displays something incorrectly. Send support your phone model, the screen where the issue appears, and a screenshot/video if possible.
